“Jesus was an Asshole” is going to have a Kickstarter by September, but some filming has been done for it already, chiefly the two main characters played by Marie Wetherell and Sarah Stark. Both are trained actresses.

After the script was written, there was some concern that young people might not want to participate in something that might be considered offensive. but the acting community is full of people who know that they are playing characters, not themselves, and there are many who gravitate toward bold scripts.
